Welcome to Obstruction Sheffield...
Ecclesall woods, Whirlow Playing Fields, Limb Lane, S17 3ES - 12th March 2017 - 11am

For people who love a challenge! This 5k obstacle run will have you climbing, crawling and scrambling together with trekking though the trees ending in a thrilling ride down a zipline to reach the finish. During Obstruction Sheffield you will have to brave the weather as winter draws to a close and will be facing some unexpected challenges within the woods. So you better be prepared for a surprise and #keeponyourtoes !

The deadline for submitting your initial £15 minimum sponsorship has now passed. An upfront cost of £30 will now be taken for any new participant runners. Please note the £30 includes £15 ticket price and £15 minimum sponsorship requirement.

THE DAY
​
11:00 - Registration opens. At Whirlow Playing Fields, Limb Lane S17 3ES (Opposite HSBC Sports Club).
11:15 - Staggered warm ups start (then every 30 minuets)
11:30 - First of staggered runs (then every 30 minuets)
16:00 - Site closes

Participants will be given their start times via email closer to the day. Food and beverages will be available to purchase on site.
PARKING
There is roadside parking close by, with just a short walk to the playing fields. The HSBC car park is not accessible for this event. Please plan your route ahead of time and car share where possible to help us reduce our carbon footprint and congestion on the day.

Ethel's Story

Ethel has Motor Sensory Neuropathy and was struggling to live with depression, she was even unable to do her own shopping. Without the work of Age UK Sheffield Ethel's quality of life would not have improved and her relationship with her family would have deteriorated.

About Age UK Sheffield
Age UK Sheffield works to support over-50s in Sheffield to lead independent and fulfilled later lives. In 2015/16, we had over 15,000 contacts with more than 8,000 people in Sheffield who needed our support. Our support workers provide a lifeline to older people in the city who are at risk of losing their home; to others with life-limiting illnesses; and many more who are lonely and isolated.

Neno Macadamia trust
Kind sponsors of Obstruction Sheffield; Neno Macademia Trust work towards the alleviation of poverty and the improvement of the conditions of life in socially and economically disadvantaged communities, in particular Neno and the adjacent districts in Malawi, Africa. In doing so they aim to support farmers in their own initiative. Their primary focus is supporting the developing macadamia nut growing industry. Other activities include trade skills training.
